MI 66.2 · SINCE DAY ONE

The oldest skate shop
in the City of LA.

LA Skate Co. is a legacy skate shop rooted in Los Angeles, serving the local skate community for over 40 years from the same stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard — the boulevard that happens to be historic Route 66, one block off the 101. Skate shops come and go with trend cycles. This one didn't.

THE QUAD-SKATE YEARS · SANTA MONICA BLVD

It started on eight wheels

Before street skating took over Los Angeles, the shop was selling and servicing conventional quad roller skates — and it never stopped. That's why, four decades later, you'll still find Moxi, Riedell and Sure-Grip on the wall next to the Spitfires and Independents. Two cultures, one corner.

The collection runs deep

Decades behind the counter leave you with more than stories. LA Dave's private collection — decks gathered over 25+ years — lives on at Western Skate Co., named for the cross street the shop has held down all along.

"Main point here — please communicate with us, and be honest. We are the good guys here, and we want you to stay skating, and live your best life." — From our actual returns policy. Really.

Same shop. Bigger reach.

In 2026 we merged our online fulfillment with our partner store, Long Beach Skate Co. You're still shopping LA Skate inventory — orders just ship faster, through a bigger system. Nothing about the culture changes. Same faces, same brands, same approach. This is just the backend getting stronger.
